12th Arab World Festival of Short Film

12th Arab World Festival of Short Film will be held from July 22 to 25, in Azrou and Ifrane under the theme "Water and Film".



Initiated with the support of the Province of Ifrane and the Moroccan Cinematographic Centre (CCM), the event's objectives is to recall the good times of the release of Moroccan documentary films with directors like Jacques Henry: "Young Forest" and"Oumerrabiaa", "The Four Sources" of Ahmed El Maanouni, "Wa zariou chamandar" by Latif Lahlou, "Dams" by Serge Dbek, "6 / 12" by Abdel Majid Rachich, "The Olive of Always” by Benchekroun Larbi and "Agrarian Reform" by Mohamed Tazi.

A statement from organizers said that the opening ceremony of the 12th edition will be an opportunity to pay tribute to artists Larbi Mohamed and El Jam Doghmi, and Gulf cinema.

Two competitions are planned: one for film directors and other professionals and another one on the theme "Water and Film" for young filmmakers.

The program also includs training workshops on reporting techniques and image processing in 3D, plus a forum to discuss the theme "Water: Future perspective for Morocco in the Arab world and the presence of documentary films as awareness tools”.
