The official start of the 34th International Cultural Festival of Assilah, organized by the Assilah Forum Foundation, was given Friday evening in the presence of eminent personalities from the world of diplomacy, politics, culture, arts and media.
Placed under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, this edition has been opened by a symposium on "effervescent waters of the Mediterranean: Crisis in North and South uprising", organized as part of the 27th session of the Summer University Ibn Abbad Al Moatamid.
In his opening remarks, the secretary general of the Assilah Forum Foundation, Mohamed Benaissa, stressed that the festival has now become an essential cultural event and a space for creation and exchange of ideas, perceptions and cultures.
