7th International Festival of Laughter in Casablanca, 10-13 March

The 7th International Festival of Laughter of Casablanca will be held from 10 to 13 March in the Mohammed VI Theatre in Casablanca and Mohammed V Theatre in Rabat. The festival is organized by the Art and Culture Association, under the theme "The impact of laughter on the society''



According to a communiqué, several national and international artists will take part in this event from several countries including Belgium, France, Russia and the United States of America.

The menu for this event include a retrospective of a dozen shows, competitions, musicals, and the projection of different short films.

A performance entitled "Let's laugh together," dedicated to sick children and disabled groups in orphanages and hospital is also in the program of the festival.

This event, whichis expected to attract 130,000 spectators, will pay tribute to the artist Abdel Jabar al-Luzi, the statement said adding that the artist Zeguendi Mourad, best actor of the film "The Barons", will be the guest of honour this year.

This festival will also feature discussions on "the impact of laughter on society'' with the participation of university researchers and specialists in Morocco and abroad.
