The sixth edition of the International Women's Film Festival of Salé, scheduled for September 17 to 22, will feature the Argentinian cinema.
Twelve feature films produced between 2011 and 2012 dealing with the theme of women are selected in the official competition of this year. The jury will be chaired by Indian Aruna Vasudev, founder of the annual festival of Asian Cinema in New Delhi, said a statement from Association Bouregreg, part of the organisation of the festival.
The jury is composed of the Iranian actress Fatemeh Motamed Arya, French actress and director Myriam Mézières, director Ounie Lecomte from South Korea, Egyptian actress Abeer Sabry, director Fanta Regina Nacro from Burkina Faso and Moroccan director Selma Bargach.
Some 17 countries in Africa, Europe, Asia and Latin America participate in this edition, including Morocco with "Androman, de sang et de charbon" (Androman, blood, and coal) by Az El Alaoui Arab Mharzi.
