The agreement was signed by Said Ibrahimi, Director General of Morocco Finance Board and Chris Cummings, Executive Chairman of The City UK, at a ceremony held at the emblematic building of the Mansion House (the seat of Lord Mayor City / London's financial district), in the presence of the Ambassador of Morocco to the United Kingdom, Chrifa Lalla Joumala, the Lord Mayor, Alderman David Wootton, and several eminent Moroccan and British personalities.
Under this agreement, The City UK is committed to providing the necessary assistance to CFC for the development of derivatives markets and capital.
Both partners also commitment to deepen their cooperation in the field of financial education.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Alderman David Wootton, who also holds the position of Lord Mayor of the Chairman of the Advisory Council of The City UK, said the agreement opens a new chapter in the prestigious relations that bind Morocco and the United Kingdom.
For his part, the Executive Chairman of The City UK stressed that the signing of the agreement "marks a turning point in the history" of the institution set up in 2010 to assist in the management of a financial sector that is pride for the United Kingdom.
The agreement with CFC is part of the new vision of the institution based on greater openness on high-potential countries such as Morocco, Cummings also said, stressing that the agreement is to give give a new impetus to the relations of friendship and cooperation already excellent between Morocco and the United Kingdom.
