Communications Minister, government spokesman, Mustapha El Khalfi said Thursday in Rabat, the establishment of a national committee for the reform of press and publishing codes, in accordance with the purposes of the Constitution.
It has to do with initiating a process of national dialogue on institutional reform of press and publishing codes through the development of a modern press code to guarantee the freedom of exercise of the profession and establish the rules of responsibility, the minister said at a workshop on “reform the press law and the relationship between the judiciary and the press.”
According to El Khalfi, this forum will be chaired by former communications minister, journalist Mohamed Larbi Messari, and whose composition will be announced later, will be responsible for collecting reform proposals.
