According to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, the export volume is 529,000 tons, against 478,000 in 2009-2010, an increase of 9 PC.
This improvement has its origin in several factors including favorable weather conditions for three consecutive seasons and a favorable international market environment, the ministry said.
The same source also attributes the increase to the efforts in the production, transport and logistics and support of exports and aid incentives.
By variety group, the volume exported berries reached a level of 349,000 tonnes, against 316,000 in 2009/2010, an increase of 9 pc. For oranges, 175. 000 tonnes were exported, against 162,000 tonnes in 2009/2010, an increase of 8pc.
In the area of helping Massa, alone with 70pcs total export volume is about 300,000 tons of which 80 pc of small fruits.
At the market, Russia jumped by 34 pc.
In turn, exports were up premieres at 8 pc from 671,000 tonnes in 2009/2010 to 726,000 tons in 2010/2011.
This increase is due to the good performance of exports of strawberries (41 pc), zucchini (22 pc) and tomato (17 pc).
On markets, and like citrus, the Russian market has seen a large increase of 51 pc, the source added.
