HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, at the grave of late King Mohammed V


 His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may God assist him, accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and Prince Moulay Ismail SA,  gathered  on Thursday night at the Mohammed V Mausoleum, the tomb of the late His Majesty Mohammed V to the 10th day of the holy month of Ramadan, which coincides with the anniversary of the disappearance of Father of the Nation, God rest his soul.

In this 10th day of Ramadan in the year 1380 AH (February 26, 1961) that the late Ruler, the hero of national liberation, died a few years after the accession of the Kingdom independence after a bitter struggle which helped liberate their country from the yoke of colonialism.

The commemoration of this anniversary is in itself an act of loyalty and commitment constantly renewed to the memory of an outstanding King, who preferred the sacrifice and the horrors of exile in disgrace and surrender to colonialism in between, in the name of the founding principles of the nation, a refusal to cede national sovereignty or be amenable to any bargain with the authorities of the protectorate.

The demise of late King Mohammed V was a cruel loss for the nation and for all resistance movements and liberation who considered him one of the leading figures in the movement for national liberation and a symbol of the struggle of peoples for independence, dignity and progress.

Throughout his struggle against colonialism, late King Mohammed V leading its work in permanent consultation with the national movement, thus displaying a continuing effort to consolidate and strengthen the ranks of all components of the resistance, he was aware the release and recovery of sovereignty depend on a collective, concerted and deliberate, based on the attachment to the faith and effort of awareness and mobilization of the Moroccan people.

It is through these continued efforts, it was possible to carry out the political struggle driven through the positions of the heroic father of the nation face the fait accompli of colonial authorities, which culminated with the plot against the legitimacy embodied by the Tro? only when the occupant has decided to force into exile the Sovereign and his illustrious family.

But colonialism was disenchanted face of the heroic resistance of the sovereign, that God is holy in His mercy, and the strong support shown by the brave people in the event. Thanks to the mobilization of the Moroccan people for the return from exile of King legitimate symbol of national sovereignty, the plot was foiled and the Sovereign fighter returned to the country, carrying the good news of the end of the supervision and protectorate.

Morocco has succeeded, thanks to the struggle of late King Mohammed V in communion with the national movement to give an international impact to his cause, which allowed him to put an end to colonial rule to tackle then the work of nation building and state building modern Moroccan.

Late King Hassan II, a companion of the hero's struggle for independence, continued the work of consolidating the gains, after the death of the father of the nation engaging in a major program for economic and social development the country. And it is the realization and consolidation of this great national purpose that has been working, with determination and sacrifice his worthy successor, King Mohammed VI, may God assist by engaging in a new era in Morocco , that of modernity and development.
