HM the King inaugurates in Casablanca centers to prepare youths for job market, train and qualify women




HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated, on Saturday in Errahma neighborhood in Casablanca, a center for the preparation of the young people to enter the job market and a women's training and qualification center, built by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, for a total investment of 10 million dirhams

  The two centers, built by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, aim to develop and foster the skills of the beneficiaries to improve their socio-economic condition.

- The Sovereign hands out food baskets to needy people in Hay Hassani.


     The first youth center aims to help the development and socialization of young people in the Errahma neighborhood, by creating activities, basically through associations, promoting accountability and commitment of young people and developing skills training in partnership with Morocco’s Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT) for a better integration of youth into labor market.

    Stretching over an area of 1,580 square meters, the center includes training workshops in computer science, computer maintenance and electronics, languages and terminology, computer-aided design and computer graphics and music.

    The 5-million dirhams center also has a tutoring room, an amphitheatre, an exhibition hall, a space run by the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC), counseling and guidance office, library and book club, a sports hall, and an administrative office.

    The women’s center is intended to contribute to qualify women and girls through courses of literacy and learning promising businesses and support cooperatives’ creation, as it aims to consolidate their skills to improve their socio-economic status and support the schooling of their children.

    Covering an area of 900 square meters, the 5-million dirhams center has training workshops in cooking and baking, training rooms for the girls out of school (hotel, housekeeper), a teaching room and training rooms for traditional sewing and ceramics, computer science, hairdressing and aesthetics.

    It also includes a literacy room, counseling and guidance office, area for youth associations and cooperatives, a space for exhibition and sales to present and market products, a pre-nursery for the benefit of babies and children of the beneficiaries.

    Before, HM the King handed out to needy people in Al Wifaq neighborhood in Hay Hassani food baskets, as part of the Ramadan 1432 operation undertaken by Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.

    This operation targets 1,600 households in Hay Hassani out of 473,900 at the national level, that is 2.37 million people.
