HRH Prince Moulay Rachid inaugurated on Thursday the 16th International Book Fair of Casablanca organised this year under the motto:"Reading, keystone of the society of knowledge".
The ten-day event gathers publishers, book fans and writers from 45 countries representing the Arab world, Europe, Africa, Asia, the United States and Latin America, MAP reported.
The fair's program features academic conferences, meetings with famous writers, book signing, artistic exhibitions and debates on immigration, Moroccan expatriate literature and contributions in the fields of arts, sciences, technologies, engineering and architecture. Over 1,000 books covering various disciplines are being displayed in the Casablanca fair, a melting point of cultures and civilisations. It is also an occasion for publishing houses, intellectuals, writers and thinkers of all walks of life to meet, exchange view points, and experiences. Related Stories
