ISESCO: Delegation of Euro-American-Arab Alliance of Civilizations Group visits Morocco

A delegation of the European-American-Arab Alliance of Civilizations Group, consisting of young leaders from the USA , Canada , and European countries, will visit the Kingdom of Morocco from 11 to 15 March 2010, at the invitation of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).

The group will start their tour with a visit on Friday 12 to ISESCO, where they will be received by the Director General, Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri. The group will then go on a tour visit to a number of civilizational landmarks in Rabat , Casablanca and Fez .

The schedule for the group’s visit includes meetings and seminars with intellectuals, university students and Moroccan local community youth activists. They will also tour several scientific, social and artistic institutions in Morocco , and meet their officials and staff members.

The group’s visit to Morocco, which aims to entrench the principles of mutual understanding among peoples and promote the dialogue of cultures and the alliance of civilizations, is conducted as part of cooperation between ISESCO, the UN Alliance of Civilizations Secretariat, and in conjunction with the League of Arab States, the British Council, and the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
