The Exhibition of Intangible Cultural Heritage, dedicated to the discovery of Mediterranean cultures from different angles, opened Tuesday at the Plaza Jeddah (Downtown Rabat), as part of the 9th edition of International Festival of Tales.
The organizers intend to "raise awareness of the common richness and diversity of Mediterranean cultures, primarily those of Palestine, Algeria, Egypt, Libya and Morocco.
The exhibition aims at highlighting the intermingling of Islamic, Christian and Greco-Roman civilizations which make this area "not a uniform landscape, but many landscapes, not one sea but a succession of seas, not a civilization, but several superimposed civilizations ", according to French historian Fernand Braudel.
Other stands are home to folk groups from various regions of the Kingdom who have enlivened the scene with their rhythmic songs and dances.
