King chairs prize award ceremony of SIAM 2009

Meknès - King Mohammed VI chaired on Monday the ceremony of awarding prizes and certificates of merit to the winners and participants in the 4th Morocco's international agriculture fair (SIAM), taking place between April 22-27.

Prize winners had outstanding performances in the fields of agricultural production, livestock farming, farm machinery and the environment.

The ceremony reflects Morocco's interest in developing the agricultural sector to achieve productive investment and sustainable development.



It also shows the north African country's will to promote and modernize the farming sector based on a clear and integrated strategy provided for in Morocco's Green plan.


The event, themed this year "Morocco's Green Plan", has drawn 620 Moroccan and foreign exhibitors. It has, over years, gained an international renown.
