More than 350 participants to the General Conference on Hotel Investment in Africa (HICA)




Over 350 people attended the first Conference on Hotel Investment in Africa (HICA) which took place in the economic capital from 26 to 27 September the organisers announced on Monday in Casablanca at a press briefing.

 Participation break down one third from Morocco, a second of the whole of Africa and the last of the world, said the president of the Moroccan Society of tourism engineering (SMIT), Tarik Senhaji, which hosted the meeting with the press to co? tees Imad Barrakad, DG, SMIT, and Jonathan Worsley founder of the agency that specializes in  hotel investment  "Bench Event".

For a first edition, the  participation was "exceptional" both quantitatively and qualitatively, said Mr Worsley, adding that the conference  featured  personalities from the tourism industry globally known from both the private and public sector.

Tthe two-day meeting included government policy makers, executives, investors, financiers, fund managers, promoters, managers, architects and other operators in the tourism sector.

A rich program was assembled for this conference which aims to highlight Africa's potential in the sector, promote investment attraction and serves as a hub for discussion and exchanges between professionals and networking.

Speakers will include capital flows, the keys to successful hotel investment in Africa, the creation of complex integrated air transport, Vision 2020 Morocco, partnership, structuring financing, the negotiation of management contracts, bank financing and potential in the field of African tourism.
