With 26,964 visitors, the French tourists are among the top newcomers, although their numbers are down compared to the same period the previous year, which recorded 39,928 French visitors, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism.

German tourists ranked third (9052), followed by British tourists (5361).

Nights spent by tourists residents in Morocco reached in late April 2012, 24,889, an increase of 9 per cent over the same period in 2011 (22,865 nights).
