Fourteen Spanish and Moroccan artists are exhibiing their contemporary artwork in Seville (southern Spain) in order to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries and highlight the common artistic heritage.
This exhibition, which is part of the project "ConeXionarte" for the promotion of artistic creatitivity, presents the works of a group of young artists from both countries, including painting, mixed media, sculpture, audiovisual installations and acrylics.
Initiated by the Foundation "Columba Pacis" in collaboration with the Institute of Culture and Art of Seville (ICAS), this exhibition aims to exchange different forms of design in contemporary art between artists from both sides of Mediterranean, organisers said. It also aims to open new horizons for a group of Moroccan and Spanish artists through a cultural project that is able to consolidate direct communication between these two cultures that share a common heritage, they added. After Seville, the exhibition, which runs until 7 March, will be held in the city of Tangier. New comment:
