Morocco-EU: 19 new partnership projects financed in 2010 worth $ 9 mln, EU official says




Nineteen new partnership projects between the European Union (UE) and civil society organizations in Morocco were financed in 2010 for a total cost of 73 million dirhams ($ 9 mln), the head of the EU's delegation in Rabat, ambassador Eneko Landaburu said.

    These projects concern the fields of human rights, education, the disabled, children and youth, women, rural development, and migration, Landaburu said, on Thursday in Rabat, at a seminar on the launch of new partnership projects between the two parties.

     The UE supported, over the period 2007-2010, some 58 projects in partnership with Moroccan and European civil society organizations, worth 23 million Euros.
