Morocco Takes Part in Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue of 5+5 in Algiers on Food Security
Food security and the means capable of achieving this is the focus of a meeting which opened Monday in Algiers, under the Euro-Mediterranean dialogue of 5+5 in the presence of Morocco.
This two-day meeting will focus on exchanging experiences of the 10 countries of the western basin of the Mediterranean on food security, says the Algerian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in a statement. The meeting, which occurs following the recommendations of the eighth conference of foreign ministers of 5+5, includes Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Tunisia and Spain, France, Italy, Malta and Portugal. Participants will focus on means to meet the challenges of food security, particularly through increased agricultural investment, the rational management of agricultural and technical progress, says the statement.
