On its way to Morocco, the ferry, “Mistral Express”, docked in Tripoli on Sunday to carry another 1,000 Moroccan nationals and is expected to leave late in the day.
On Saturday, 89 Moroccans were repatriated on board a flight of Morocco’s flag carrier (RAM) from the city of Sebha (800 km south of Tripoli), a source from Morocco general consulate told MAP.
Two ferries, Mistral Express and Berkane, had repatriated, last Thursday, around 4,000 Moroccans.
RAM had established an air lift linking the international airports of Tripoli and Casablanca to evacuate around 3,500 members of the Moroccan community living in Libya.
