Morocco participates in the African Film Festival of Tarifa, May 21-29

Morocco participates in the 7th African Film Festival of Tarifa (FCAT) to be held from 21 to 29 May.

The program of this event, which organizers said will provide Hispanic viewers the opportunity to discover the many facets of the African continent, features the projection of over 100 films, most of which are new in Spain. It includes the organization of four photographic exhibitions and a professional space dedicated to the promotion of co-productions between Spain and African countries.

A week before the opening of the Festival, the Cine -Mobile Team -AFFT, in collaboration with, the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM), the Fondation des Deux Rives and the Cervantes Institute, will screen a series of films of the festival in several cities in northern Morocco, including Tetouan, Tangiers and Larache.

This edition maintains and reinforces the goal of the festival, which is to show examples of African cinema in Spain, not only as an artistic expression but also as a tool for the development and progress of the African continent.

The AFFT is initiated by the Association Al Tarab, with the support from the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECI), Casa Africa (home of Africa), the Casa Arabe (Arab House) The Government of Andalusia and the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation.
