The reform undertaken in Morocco is part of a solid national process, Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri said on Thursday in Rabat.

Speaking before the Foreign Affairs, National Defense and Islamic Affairs Committee at the House of Representatives, Fihri noted that Morocco possesses important specificities which allowed it to enrich the political system since the independence, on the basis of the respect of individual and collective liberties and the banning of the unique party.

He recalled that monarchy in Morocco is the foundation of the Nation's unity and the guarrantor for its plural identity, underlining that the Moroccan monarchy has a deeply-rooted legitimacy and is marked by a dynamic of reform and its capacity to listen and diagnose the problems and shortcomings of society within the framework of a participative approach.
