Despite the global economic juncture, tourism sector in Morocco shows a “good resilience,” tourism minister, Lahcen Haddad, said on Monday.
Investment in the field of tourism “continues to grow” and receipts are “satisfactory”, Haddad told Moroccan “chaine Inter” radio.
Some 13 billion dirham worth of investments were carried in 2011 and 6 billion during the first months of 2012, the minister said.
Tourism sector will move forward with the support of the State, and the 6 billion dirhams allocated to the sector will create 2,500 to 3,000 jobs, Haddad added.
