Morocco will hold, as of December 2011, the presidency of the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network (ACINET), the president of the body, Yemeni Belqis Abou Osba, whose country holds the current presidency, announced on Thursday in Marrakech.

Set up in 2008 in Amman, Jordan, the ACINET consecrates the Arab countries’ desire to play a more active role in the global fight against corruption.

It provides a governmentally-supported regional framework for dealing with the sensitive and complex issue of corruption in Arab countries.
