Morocco to inject additional 15 bln dirhams into compensation fund




The government decided to inject into the compensation fund an additional 15 billion dirhams, which adds to the 17 billion dirhams allocated under the 2011 finance law, in a move to boost the citizen's purchasing power amid rising prices of basic commodities.

The statement was made on Tuesday by Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi, who told MAP that the injected amount aims to subsidy on prices of some basic products in international markets.

Prime Minister held earlier on Monday a meeting with majority and opposition party leaders about issues relating to territorial integrity and the preparations for election, employment, and health laws in addition to social dialogue.
