Under the theme "Art and Development", this cultural encounter, which continues until Friday, is organized around particular themes of heritage and local culture as a lever for development of women and crafts.
Organized by the Moroccan Association for Contemporary Creative Women (AMCC), this event has started its activities by opening a major exhibition of Moroccan and foreign female painters, and an exhibition of works by the late Dounia Walit, Moroccan artist who lived in Germany where she died.
The first day of this event was also marked by an exhibition of handicrafts made by rural women, and an open workshop on the alphabet Tifinagh.
The event also includes lectures on visual arts and crafts, heritage and the enhancement of local culture and governance as a lever for achieving sustainable development.
Concerts of classical and Mediterranean evenings of Sufi songs and a fashion show by designer Safae Mlihi are also on the menu of this event.
