The National dialogue on the reform of the judiciary, that was launched on Tuesday in Casablanca by HM King Mohammed VI, aims to establish a justice that promotes investments and protects the rights of citizens, Minister of Justice and Liberties Mustapha Ramid said.

“This dialogue ushers a new era in the setting up of an independent justice and an efficient judiciary that promotes investments and protects the rights of citizens,” Ramid told MAP news agency.

The Minister explained that the dialogue will not only cover issues relating to justice, but will also examine all aspects pertaining to Morocco’s judiciary system.

This dialogue is held following the adoption of a new constitution, he said, adding that it also falls with the framework of efforts led by Morocco to reinforce the citizens’ confidence in justice.

This comprehensive dialogue involves all the stakeholders concerned with the reform of the judiciary, said Ramid, noting that a national charter will be drawn up at the end of the dialogue and submitted for the approval of HM the King.
