OSR: Concert of classical music, 05 April 2011 in Marrakech
This is the first performance by the SRO of a work that is part Moroccan and will encourage the symphonic composition in Morocco.

The Royal Symphony Orchestra opens its new season with artistic masterpieces of European classical music The next program will be for the music festival and will be a jazz concert in the open air.
In addition to performances scheduled as part of its artistic season, the Royal Symphony Orchestra regularly participates in the Mawazine Festival  which this year will be on  May 22 with the mega star Roger Hodgson, former member of Supertram. Last December the orchestra participated in the opening ceremony of the 10th edition of International Film Festival of Marrakech.

The Royal Symphony Orchestra will pay more attention to chamber music and will probably propose in May / June a concert of chamber music by a string orchestra  that is currently in the process of finalisation.

The lineup for next season  promises fine performances with carefully selected soloists for programs of excellence to showcase to the public.

Roger Hodgson's concerts continue to amaze me. His voice sounds the same as on the records- and I didn't realize until I heard him live that he is the one responsible for most of the biggest hits of Supertramp like Breakfast in America, The Logical Song, Dreamer, School, It's Raining Again, Take the Long Way Home, Hide in Your Shell- all my favorites. Over the last 6 years I've seen him solo and with this band and once with an orchestra. It is so powerful hearing him perform classics like Fools Overture and Dreamer with a symphony- something I will never forget. There is tour info and clips from Roger's latest album at rogerhodgson.com

Wow! That is what I've got to say about Roger Hodgson's show! I saw Roger, co-founder of Supertramp, last month in California and was so overjoyed for the privilege of being able to see this artist live in concert. He was absolutely fantastic! That voice of his is pristine and it was so wonderful to see Roger perform the songs I grew up with such as Dreamer, Breakfast in America, The Logical Song, and so many more. I also loved hearing some amazing material from his solo albums. I didn't want the night to end and am still thinking about the show all of these weeks later. What a spectacular night!

Give yourself a gift and get to Roger's concert! You will be so very glad that you did. For details of Roger's world tour, visit his site at http://www.RogerHodgson.com or his facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/RogerHodgsonOfficial.

From the time Roger walks onto the stage you feel his music, love and compassion. His voice sounds better than ever and he spends his time interacting with the sea of faces before him. Be warned, once you have seen one performance, you will return again and again........ Roger has been touring with the multi-instrumentalist Aaron McDonald for the last six years. Both men create such a full sound; it is not a far stretch to state that other instruments are not necessary. For more information on upcoming shows check his website link above............. He is planning an U.S. tour during the 2011 season and has already posted some dates!! Yes I am a big fan, come join me…….
