After the social, Royal Air Morocco, Moroccan airline is preparing a restructuring plan to cope with its financial crisis



RAM: The new plan of rejuvenation and restructuring


 In fact, the RAM project in the coming months plans to part of ten units (four Airbus A321s, five Boeing B737-500 and B767), but also to receive by the end of March 2012 two B737-800.

It is a plan of rejuvenation, five-year fleet of 46 aircraft with Moroccan company which no Airbus. This rejuvenation will reduce operating costs and maintenance.

In addition, the unprofitable lines and it will be deleted in order to achieve its goal of reducing its cost per seat by 20% within four to five years.

For now, nothing specific has been announced, but it should be of secondary lines that do not necessarily pass through the hub of Casablanca, or the medium-haul flights.
In addition, the RAM has decided to close some stores in France and Morocco.

Regarding the voluntary separation plan of 1560 employees over two years, the company recorded only 535 applications, while it plans to part with 800 employees by the end of the year.
