Rabat, Tunis committed to strengthening bilateral cooperation, FM says
Moroccan Foreign Minister Saad Dine El Otmani reaffirmed, on Friday, following the preparatory meeting of the 17th high joint committee, the commitment of Morocco and Tunisia to promoting bilateral cooperation in many areas.

In a statement to the press, El Otmani hailed the important evolution of bilateral ties, spurred by the steadfast will of both countries to foster cooperation and implement signed agreements.

The preparatory meeting, chaired by head of the government Abdelilah Benkirane and attended by government members and representatives of ministerial departments, was meant to assess relations between Morocco and Tunisia and examine progress achieved in different sectors.

El Otmani said that the meeting discussed agreements under way and those to be signed during the joint committee.

The Kingdom reiterates its commitment to giving momentum to bilateral economic and trade cooperation, he said, underlining that the two parties see to it that consular problems be resolved.

The Moroccan-Tunisian high joint committee, slated June 15 in Rabat, is the first to be held after the Tunisian revolution.
