The British Ambassador in Rabat, Timothy Morris, launched a campaign to educate the citizens of his country visit to Morocco during the next Ramadan rites and customs in the holy month on Monday in Agadir.

   Each year, nearly 300,000 British tourists visit Morocco and it turns out that Ramadan this year coincides with the peak of the summer season, said Morris to explain the importance of this campaign.

The British Embassy has developed for this purpose leaflets with information and tips on culture, traditions and rules to follow during the month of fasting.

These documents will be distributed to tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, and restaurants with suggestions on  how to make them available to their customers.

"The number of British tourists who spend their holidays in Morocco is increasing. It is important that they can enjoy their holidays and sharing, for those whose stay coincides with Ramadan, the month the experience of meditation and joy for Muslims, "said the diplomat at a press briefing.

In general, British nationals, he said, are aware of the importance of Ramadan, due to the presence of a strong Muslim community in Britain.

Representatives of tour operators and travel agents and some British representatives of the community of that country established in Morocco attended the launch of this campaign.

Depending on the services of the British Embassy, ​​a communication action will be launched in parallel on the website of the embassy and on the social networking site Facebook.
