MoulayYoussef Elkahfai was born in 1969 in Marrakech where he lives and works. A graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Tetouan in 1993, this artist is a painter and engraver, lithographer. His favorite theme: a passion for the human. Men, women, recurrent subjects in Moulay Youssef Elkahfai's work , which reveal themselves in new ways in an ongoing quest for humanism and poetry. Currently, Moulay Youssef Elkahfai runs a print shop founded in 2003 at Tighadouine in the Marrakech region.
He is a multifaceted artist who proposes a different approach to pictorial art: The prints and graphic work, strongly linked to his painting by creating points of convergence between appearance and pictorial arts (painting and printmaking).
