The 10th Mediterranean Short Film Festival of Tangier opened Monday evening, featuring 52 competing short films from 21 countries.
Under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, this cultural event will continue until October 6.
The opening ceremony of the festival, which was held in the presence of the Wali of the region by interim, Mohamed El Yaacoubi, the Director of the Moroccan Cinematographic Centre (CCM), Noureddine Sayel, and the Mayor of Tangier Fouad El Omari, was marked by a tribute to Mohamed El Achaâri, former Minister of Culture who initiated this festival ten years ago.
