The 3rd Session of the Joint Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology, 4-11 Nov. in Marrakech

The session will focus on issues within the field of oceanography and marine meteorology including development and implementation of operational oceanography.

The commission is one of eight committees of the World Meteorological Organization, created in partnership between that organization and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO.

Morocco has been assigned by WMO in organizing this important conference after Iceland ( 2001) and Canada (2005), notes the statement, adding that the Secretary General of WMO and Executive Secretary of IOC will be present in Marrakech.
