The Ministry of Culture announced the organization of competitions for visual arts as part of the 2012 edition of "Crossroads of Regional Young Painters"(Carrefours régionaux des jeunes artistes-peintres).
A ministry statement says that, given the success the last two editions, it was decided to extend the event to all regions of Morocco, adding that the winners of regional competitions will come eventually compete for the prize of the national contest.
Candidates for regional hubs must be Moroccan nationals, aged between 20 and 35 years residing in the region they represent and must propose a painting which has never been exposed, according to the eligibility criteria established by the Ministry.
Interested parties should withdraw the contest rules and participation file directly from the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture within the region where they reside, or downloaded them from the website of the Ministry. Applications must be presented to the regional office before July 31.
