The Northern Wind
The Cyber Village has changed outlooks and mentalities throughout the world. This is mainly due to to the availability of the internet and particularly Facebook and twitter. This kind of communication has become the locomotive that moves people and creates change. The latter however does not happen overnight.
The northerly wind blew earlier in the direction of Latin America and Eastern Europe and is now being felt in the soouthern part of the Mediterranean and parts of the Middle East . Change usually comes at a price , "one can't make omelettes without breaking eggs" as the old saying goes.Having said that, one has to distinguish between various countries and much still needs to be done but certain countries, Morocco included, have embarked on positive change for sometime now and it continues as we have witnessed in the speech of the Moroccan Monarch on 9th March confirming that those who have understood the historical elements of progress and democracy will eventually arrive and safely get ashore.
