The Rabat-Salé tramway company said it launched a study on the extension of its network to include other neighbourhoods in the two adjacent cities.
The study, which will be accomplished by 2013, is part of an action plan for the upcoming five years, Rabat-Salé tramway company director Loubna Boutaleb told MAP.
The new areas targeted by the study are Hay Riad-Temara, Akkari-Yacoub El Mansour, Bettana-Hay Salam-Kariat and Ouled Moussa -Hay Chmaou, she said.
She estimated the cost of the extension project to stand at 95 million dirhams per kilometer.
