The group will depart from the Sofitel Marrakech at 10am in 4x4s, have lunch in the village, visit the center as well as the village school and come back in the afternoon. The cost for the day is £45 or about 560 dirhams( including a small donation to the BMS).

Members of the BMS will then be invited for dinner at Yacout in the evening.

To ensure your place in a 4x4, it would be ideal if Members and guests could prepay by credit card in the BMS website : www.britishmoroccansociety.org citing "day in Talataste". If members and guests can come to the dinner, please e-mail Benedicte Clarkson so she can let Dar El Yacout know how many people to expect

RECEPTION AT THE FOREIGN AND COMMONWEALTH OFFICE,London

The Middle East and North Africa Directorate of the FCO have again kindly agreed to host a reception for the Society’s members and guests at the FCO.

HH Princess Lalla Joumala Alaoui
, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco and her husband Mr Reda Esfandiari will be our guests.

Wine, soft drinks and canapés will be served.  The cost of this event is £20.00 per person.  The FCO requires us to provide a list in advance of those who will be attending, so please e-mail me with your name and the names of your guests in good time and use the credit card facilities in the website to pay.  The reception will be held in one of the FCO’s well-known “fine rooms” – probably the India Office Council Chamber, which is directly above the room in which last year’s reception was held.  Entry will again be by the Clive Steps entrance to the FCO, at the west (St James’s Park) end of King Charles Street (London SW1A 2AH) on the north side – that is, the right hand side coming from Whitehall towards Clive Steps.
