This program promotes the mobility of young artists in order to "enrich their creative projects enabling them to engage in a dialogue of cultural diversity" and offers designers aged between 25 and 35 residences in the world including Morocco, through its International Centre "Dar al-Ma'mun."
The UNESCO-Aschberg bursaries concern projects in creative writing, music and visual arts.
"The countries of the South, with rich artistic tradition can extend their skills in these areas, and hence boost the different sectors of the cultural industry," says the Unesco.
The program is designed specifically to "promote creativity, moments in cultural exchanges and give artists the opportunity to enrich themselves through contact with other cultures."
Unesco considers that the residential experience under this program plays a catalyst role in the development of artistic expression in all cultures of the world."
